Permitting Counter Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Appointments are strongly preferred and help reduce wait times.
- Walk-ins are accepted as availability allows but may experience longer wait times.
We recommend using our Q-less virtual line system to schedule a 30-minute appointment in advance.
All contractors must apply for permits via www.CapeCoral.gov/energov. In-person (owner-builder permits only) and online applications are processed in order of receipt. Permits are not immediately issued at the Permitting Counter.
How to Apply for Permits
Contractors:
- All contractors must apply online via EnerGov Self-Service Portal.
- Online applications and owner-builder permits are processed in order of receipt.
- Permits are not issued immediately at the counter.
Owner-Builders:
- Apply in person at City Hall.
- Schedule your 30-minute appointment through our Virtual Line.
Before You Apply:
- Review the required permit types in our Permit Document Center.
- Submit via the EnerGov Customer Self-Service (CSS) Portal.
