Cape Coral Bulk Item Drop Off Event Planned for June 13

The City is partnering with Waste Pro to offer Cape Coral residents another free “Bulk Item Drop Off Event” on Saturday, June 13. Collection hours will be from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Residents can bring unwanted items for disposal to 1020 Cultural Park Boulevard (parking lot located next to the Cape Coral Police Department building). Future events will be held on August 1 and November 7.

While Waste Pro picks up bulk items curbside at no charge, this is another opportunity for residents to dispose of these items.

Acceptable items for drop off include:
Construction Debris (less than 2 yards)
Appliances
Furniture
Electronics
Clothing

Proof of residency is required to drop off items. Proof of residency may include photo identification with a Cape Coral address or photo identification and a utility bill, with an active Cape Coral utility account. This is a residential program and commercial building materials will not be accepted. Household chemical waste (fuel, paint, solvents, propane tanks) will not be accepted and should be taken to the Lee County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility located at 6441 Topaz Court, Fort Myers.

Waste Pro will have staff available at this event if any resident needs assistance unloading items.

The Cape Coral City Council approved a new Waste Pro contract that will go into effect in October. Under the new agreement, bulk items will be collected curbside every week. Residents will be assigned a designated collection day for bulk items in the coming months.
