Current Planning

The City of Cape Coral's Current Planning staff is responsible for reviewing and coordinating all Planned Unit Development. Staff also processes and reviews a variety of public hearing applications that include deviations, rezonings, special exception uses, variances, and vacation of plats and rights-of-way. 

Current Planning interprets and applies the City’s Land Development Code to development activities in the City and assists in amending these regulations. 

In conjunction with Zoning, Current Planning determines what uses that appear in the City’s Land Development Code can be legally utilized for specific properties in the City.
