More Public Workshops Scheduled for Cape Coral Parks Master Plan

The City’s Department of Parks & Recreation will be hosting two workshops to solicit public input on a new Parks Master Plan for Cape Coral.  The workshops will be Monday, March 7 at King’s Way Christian Center (2016 Kismet Parkway E.) and Tuesday, March 8 at Oasis Elementary (3415 Oasis Boulevard).  Hours for the workshops are 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.  The public is encouraged to attend and participate.  The workshops will be facilitated by representatives with Barth Associates, the consultant on the project.

Cape Coral residents who are unable to attend one of these workshops will have an opportunity to provide input about Cape Coral’s parks and recreational programs via an online survey.  The survey can be accessed from the special Parks Master Plan web page: www.capecoral.net/ParksMP.  Information about the Parks Master Plan also is available on the page.

Additional public meetings and surveys will occur throughout the year as the City and consultant work to finalize a new Parks Master Plan for Cape Coral.  The Plan is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.   For more information, call (239) 573-3128 or visit www.CapeParks.com.
